Health data notice

Your training. Protected.

Shft is a workout-planning tool, not a medical device. Recovery and progression cues are general training estimates and are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

1. Scope

This notice supplements the Privacy Policy. It covers information that may identify or be reasonably linked to your physical activity, training habits, or fitness profile. It is intended to provide transparency under consumer-health-data laws where they apply.

Shft does not currently connect directly to Apple Health, Health Connect, or a healthcare provider. If that changes, this notice will be updated before the integration is made available.

2. Categories we may process

  • Exercises, workout plans, completed sessions, sets, repetitions, weights, duration, and notes.
  • Muscle-group activity, training frequency, progression cues, fatigue or recovery estimates derived from your logged sessions.
  • Optional profile choices such as experience level, preferred units, training mode, split, and gender if you choose to provide it.
  • Inferences required to show training history, readiness, trends, and next-session guidance.

We receive this information from you and from calculations performed within Shft. We do not obtain medical records from clinicians or insurers.

3. Why it is used

Health-related data is used to display your workout history, save plans, calculate training cues, sync supported records when you choose cloud features, prevent data loss, and answer support requests you initiate. It is not used for targeted advertising, credit, employment, insurance, or automated medical decisions.

4. Storage & sharing

Workout data can be stored locally on your device. When you use an account or sync, supported records may be stored with Shft's cloud service provider, currently Supabase. We share data only as needed to provide and secure these functions, when you direct us to, or when law requires it.

Shft does not sell consumer health data. We do not share it for advertising. We do not provide it to data brokers.

5. Retention

Local records remain until you delete them, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Synced data remains while your account is active and is removed after an account-deletion request, subject to limited backup, security, and legal-retention needs described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Your choices

You may view, edit, or remove supported training data in the app; avoid optional cloud sync; delete your account; or ask for access, correction, deletion, or a copy of data associated with your account. Where applicable, you may withdraw consent for future processing.
